Stephen first discovered a love of images when attending a local art college in Wales to study Photography where he took a lot of terrible photographs and a couple of good ones. After obtaining a BA Hons in English Literature and Creative Writing from University of Wales, Aberystwyth he went on to study filmmaking at London Film Academy.
HIs first feature-length film 'Tónlist: Icelandic Music Documentary', or simply 'Tónlist', a visually stunning journey into the Icelandic music scene with interviews from artists such as Ólafur Arnalds, Múm and Ásgeir premiered in Reykjavik in November 2014 before going to screen across Europe and being translated into several different languages.
Since then Stephen has worked with various agencies and production companies like Fremantle Media, HelloCharlie, Fulwell 73 and Freuds. He has directed a mockumentary TV pilot for BBC Three and Netflix (neither were picked up). He has created work for the world's most famous brands (Facebook/Reebok/Durex/McDonalds) and some of the most unknown bands (???).
He lives in London and currently works as a freelance commercial and digital content director/editor. His proudest moment was when Cardiff City were promoted to the Premier League. He likes dogs, hip-hop, veganism, podcasts, film photography and Netflix. Dislikes include writing blurbs about himself in the third person.
